Haber Global: Russia trying to cover up violence against Azerbaijanis with lies

Russia is trying to cover up the violence in Yekaterinburg with false statements, experts said on the Turkish TV channel Haber Global, commenting on the raid in Yekaterinburg on June 27 by Russian FSB officers on the homes of Azerbaijanis, during which two people were killed and several more were injured, Report informs.

The program, entitled "Russia's Outrageous Operation. Why Did an Azerbaijani Family Become a Target?" emphasizes that the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation officers were conducting an illegal operation against Azerbaijanis, looking for an answer to the question "Is chauvinism becoming Russia's state policy?"

It is noted that on the morning of June 27, the FSB raided the homes of Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg, during which two Azerbaijanis were killed. The participants of the program especially emphasize that the footage of the detainees shows how terrible the torture was against them. The invited experts emphasized that although Russian law enforcement agencies justify these illegal actions by allegedly 'investigating' a crime that occurred in the early 2000s, there are a number of suspicious nuances in the case.

It is noted that Azerbaijan responded fairly to this act of violence, the Russian chargé d'affaires was summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. The speakers recalled that even three days after the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) civilian plane was shot down, Russian officials showed a careless attitude towards the incident and began to voice misleading false statements.

The experts emphasized that against the backdrop of the events in Yekaterinburg, the Russian authorities, as in the case of the AZAL plane, are trying to cover up the violence committed with false statements.
