Baku TV enters top 10 among Azerbaijani channels, director general says

Baku TV has managed to win over television viewers within a short period after switching to traditional broadcasting, Baku TV Director General Ramin Jafarov said during an appearance on Real TV, Report informs.

He said the channel is outperforming the forecasts of the company that measures television ratings.

"Indeed, the company that measures broadcasters' viewing ratings told us that it would take about two to three years for traditional television viewers to get to know us. We understood this and were ready to be in the last places at the beginning. Nevertheless, within a short time, we have ranked seventh, eighth, ninth or tenth among 16-17 channels. In any case, we are in the top 10," Jafarov said.

Jafarov said Baku TV tries to be close to every viewer, both in the traditional television format and on digital platforms.

Baku TV ranks first among Azerbaijani television channels on YouTube.
