A group of Azerbaijani journalists visited the site of the Nova music festival in Israel, where more than 360 people were killed in an attack on October 7, 2023, Report's correspondent informs.
The journalists visited the site of the tragedy and spoke with a festival survivor who lived through the attack.
"People of different nationalities and faiths were present at the festival - everyone suffered. It was a slaughter during which nobody understood what was happening," she recalled.
The journalists also visited nearby areas and kibbutzim located close to the border with the Gaza Strip, hearing firsthand accounts from residents who survived the attack by Hamas militants.
"The border with the Strip is about 700 meters from our village. Everything happened rapidly; we were not prepared for this," a witness to the events said.
The Nova festival took place on October 6–7, 2023, near Kibbutz Re'im. On the morning of October 7, following the onset of a rocket barrage, Hamas militants breached the festival grounds and attacked attendees. A total of 364 people were killed in the attack.
