Azerbaijani journalists have visited the Imam Bukhari Mausoleum in Samarkand.

According to Report's correspondent from Samarkand, the visit took place as part of a media tour of Uzbekistan.

The Imam Bukhari Mausoleum is one of the most significant spiritual and historical sites in the Samarkand region.

During the visit, representatives of the Azerbaijani media toured the memorial complex, which includes the tomb of Imam Bukhari, a mosque, a museum, and a library space. The journalists were briefed on the history of the complex, the life and scientific heritage of Imam Bukhari, as well as his special role in Islamic scholarship.

Participants of the media tour paid special attention to the museum section of the complex. Displayed here are manuscripts and various historical materials related to Islamic culture and Imam Bukhari's legacy. The museum also houses copies of the Holy Quran presented to the complex by representatives from various countries.

The participants were informed that the complex serves as a pilgrimage site for believers worldwide and stands as an important center for preserving the scholar's spiritual legacy. The journalists also learned about the architectural features of the complex and the modern infrastructure built for visitors.

Imam Bukhari is considered one of the most authoritative Islamic scholars and the compiler of the "Sahih al-Bukhari" hadith collection-one of the most vital collections of hadiths in Islamic tradition.
