President: Armenia wanted to strengthen the status quo, make it permanent

"We gained this victory on the battlefield, not at the negotiating table. Contrary to all statements, I said that there is a military solution to the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Today we proved it on the battlefield."
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in his address to the Azerbaijani people in the Alley of Martyrs, Report informs.
"About 30 years of negotiations have not led us to any result. For 30 years, our ancient, historical lands were under occupation. In the process of negotiations, Armenia only wanted to gain time, strengthen the status quo, and make it permanent, " the President stressed.
