Modifications made to Upper Govhar Agha Mosque during Armenian occupation eliminated

The modifications made to the Upper Govhar Agha Mosque in the city of Shusha during the Armenian occupation have been eliminated, Report informs.
State officials briefed President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, who visited the mosque, about the work done there.
The mosque building has been fortified. The modifications made to the mosque during the Armenian occupation have been removed. Plastering works on the facades and inside the building have been completed. The painting of the minarets has started.
Currently, stone cutting and figure-making of window sills continue in the workshop from raft rock pieces brought to Baku from Shusha city.
The restoration work is expected to be completed by late 2023.
