Modern school in Aghdam demonstrates focus on education in liberated territories

The modern infrastructure established at School No. 1 in the city of Aghdam serves as a clear example of the attention given to the development of education in the liberated territories, Sanan Mansimli, head of the Karabakh Regional Department of Education, told Report's correspondent in Aghdam.

He noted that the educational establishment is designed for 960 students and was built as part of the implementation of the First State Program of Great Return.

The foundation of the school was laid on May 28, 2021, by President Ilham Aliyev. The building includes 43 classrooms, 16 administrative offices, a STEAM center, laboratories for physics, chemistry, and biology, computer science and pre-military training rooms, a library, and a museum. The school is also equipped with an auditorium with 468 seats, two indoor sports halls, outdoor football and basketball fields, and a cafeteria with 352 seats.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening ceremony of School No. 1 in the city of Aghdam on July 18.
