Lavrov: Moscow welcomes Ankara's aspiration to promote implementation of Karabakh truce

"We welcome Ankara's aspiration to help the parties to the conflict fulfill their obligations, in particular, as part of the November 9 agreements signed by the Presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia, and within the framework of the Russian-Turkish joint center for monitoring the implementation of ceasefire obligations," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart, Report quotes.
He noted that the process of active deployment of the center is currently underway.
"Our general opinion is that the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh should not be used in such a way to infiltrate foreign mercenaries into the region. Here we have a unified position, " he concluded.
