Karabakh Revival Foundation on priorities at meeting with Estonian MPs

Chairman of the Karabakh Revival Foundation Rahman Hajiyev met with a delegation led by Chairman of the Estonian-Azerbaijani parliamentary group Sven Sester, Report learned from the foundation.
Rahman Hajiyev informed the participants about the establishment of the foundation, its main goals, and objectives, mission, values, current activities.
Rahman Hajiyev noted that along with the restoration of historical monuments, the elimination of damage to the environment as a result of the occupation is one of the main priorities of the foundation, and for this purpose, the foundation signed an MoU with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources to contribute to sustainable settlement and development of the region through joint measures to restore the environment and support the implementation of various environmental projects.
Hajiyev spoke about various campaigns carried out by the foundation. In order to expand cooperation with business organizations, develop a public-private partnership, and involve the public in the work done to restore the liberated territories, the foundation organized a visit of an AmCham delegation to Agdam and representatives of logistics companies to Zangilan District, Hajiyev said and stressed the importance of holding a series of meetings with representatives of business entities.
At the meeting, the chairman of the delegation Sven Sester said that they will leave for Agdam on November 3, 2021, and then to Ganja to get acquainted with the consequences of the terrorist attack on Ganja during the Patriotic War.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the involvement of financial assistance from large businesses and relevant agencies to support the restoration and reconstruction in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, the application of the Estonian state program "e-Residency" in Karabakh, and other issues of mutual interest.
During the discussions, the delegation members shared their experiences on the culture of donations in Estonia and the existing legislation on donations.
At the end, it was proposed to hold meetings with the relevant agencies of Estonia and Azerbaijan in order to develop cooperation on the issues mentioned at the meeting.
