Shusha has always been the cultural capital not only of Azerbaijan, but of the entire Caucasus region, Jean-Michel Brun, founder and editor-in-chief of the French news portal “Musulmans en France,” told Report.
“You can see the consequences of the destruction of the city, which it was subjected to for almost 30 years of occupation. It is very important to restore the real Shusha - the city of music and poetry.
The question remains: in which Shusha do Azerbaijanis want to live? In the old or new cultural city? I think it would be good if both are presented: to see wonderful cultural monuments, schools, a fortress again, but also to make Shusha the cultural capital of the future,” Brun said.
