The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) conducted 182 operations in January-June this year as a neutral mediator to search for and retrieve bodies in areas affected by the recent fighting, said Ilaha Huseynova, head of the public relations department of the ICRC office in Azerbaijan.
According to her, 283 samples of biological references were collected from 118 families of people who went missing in the 1990s: "Three escorts supported the families of those missing during the collection process of biological reference. The families of 67 missing people received cash assistance. Thirty staffs continue to provide remote support to the families of the missing due to the COVID-19 pandemic and escalation."
