Huseynov: Azerbaijan prioritizes smart city, village projects in liberated lands

Smart city and smart village projects take priority in Azerbaijan's liberated territories, Emin Huseynov, Special Representative of the Azerbaijani President in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, told journalists during the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

Huseynov noted that Master Plans are designed to cluster key facilities together to make them convenient for residents: "Preserving our national, cultural, and historical heritage is also a vital part of reconstruction and development. At the same time, creating modern jobs and ensuring dignified living conditions are essential."

The official emphasized that the green zone principle is being applied in the liberated territories: "Solar panels are installed on individual houses, and two-way meters are used. In Karabakh and East Zangazur, electricity sources are derived from alternative energy."
