Head of German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce: Work carried out in Karabakh impressive

The work which is being carried out to restore Karabakh is impressive, Tobias Baumann, the executive director of the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan) said at the presentation of Market Analysis Azerbaijan.

He said the reconstruction of the liberated territories is a major task for Azerbaijan for which it allocates huge sums.

"What we see in Karabakh is impressive. Airports, roads, cities are being built actively and everything is being done from scratch," Baumann said.

He noted that oil and gas in Azerbaijan remain leading spheres in economic development, despite the growth of investments in the non-oil sector.

Baumann also stressed the development of Azerbaijan's construction sector.

"The infrastructure development in Baku shows that special attention is paid to this sector in the country," he said, adding that transport sector is another rapidly developing sphere in Azerbaijan.
