Hajiyev: Armenia systematically destroyed cultural heritage in occupied territories

Azerbaijan is interested in starting peace talks with Armenia and achieving sustainable peace in the region, Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev said at the forum in the ADA University “Peace for the sake of culture,” Report informs.
He noted that achieving a lasting peace “will create a win-win situation.”
The presidential aide stressed that the Azerbaijani cultural monuments in the occupied territories were systematically destroyed.
He called on the world community to assess this vandalism by Armenia, as well as international institutions to visit the territories liberated from the occupation with an assessment mission.
