Nana Nebieridze, a TV host at a Georgian television channel, shared her impressions of the large-scale reconstruction work being carried out in Azerbaijan's liberated territories and the city of Khankandi during her trip to Karabakh.
In an interview with Report, the TV host noted that she first visited Azerbaijan 10 years ago and that the country now looks completely different.
"This morning, on our way toward Karabakh, I had mixed feelings. On the left, we saw burned houses and devastated lands - it was truly a shock for me," she said, adding that completely new cities could be seen on the right.
Nebieridze also said they noted that in Europe, there are not even "smart villages" like those in Azerbaijan:
"To organize, build and implement all of this in such a short time in a region that has experienced a severe and brutal war is deeply moving and impressive.
Moreover, you can immediately feel the positive energy here. I want to address all Azerbaijanis, visitors to the capital Baku and people around the world: if you want to experience what peace feels like and enjoy this magnificent nature and positive atmosphere, you should definitely come here.
I admire your wisest man, Mr. President Ilham Aliyev - a man who made a promise to his father and kept it.
Please know and be confident: Georgia and Georgians love you very much. Not only because we are strategic partners or neighbors - we simply love you from the bottom of our hearts and deeply respect you."
