First day of foreign diplomats' visit to Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur concludes

The first day of the visit by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan to Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur has concluded.

According to Report, on the first day of the visit, the diplomats visited Khankandi and Shusha.

In Khankandi, representatives of the diplomatic corps familiarized themselves with work underway at the railway and bus station complex and visited the Cultural Center, Victory Park and Karabakh University.

The diplomats also visited the sewing factory of AzCotton LLC and familiarized themselves with the company's operations.

In Shusha, the diplomats familiarized themselves with ongoing reconstruction and construction work and visited the New Shusha Mosque, Jidir Duzu, Karabakh Street, the city's central square, the House of Sadigjan and the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque.

The diplomats also visited the Shusha Creativity Center, where they viewed the "Heydar Aliyev and Karabakh" exhibition, as well as the fortress walls of Shusha and the First Residential Quarter, where they met with city residents.

The first day concluded with an official reception hosted in Shusha to mark Mexico's Independence Day.

The diplomatic corps is accompanied by Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department for Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration.

The delegation includes 150 representatives from 58 countries and nine international organizations.

The visit will continue through September 12.
