Another group of IDPs relocated to Jabrayil

In accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev and within the framework of the First State Program “Great Return” to the territories liberated from occupation, another convoy of internally displaced persons (IDPs) has been sent from the Garadagh district of Baku to the restored city of Jabrayil. The group included families who had been temporarily accommodated in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings in various regions of the country.

According to Report, this stage saw the relocation of 53 families (198 individuals) to Jabrayil.

The returning residents of Jabrayil expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state support and care. They also thanked the valiant Azerbaijani Army, its soldiers and officers, for liberating the land from occupation, and wished peace to the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in this cause.

Currently, about 50,000 people reside in Karabakh and East Zangazur. Alongside the resettled former IDPs, this number includes individuals working on the implementation of projects in the region, those performing official duties in local branches of various government institutions, and employees in the revived healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy sectors.
