Azerbaijan's Kalbajar district has significant potential for tourism development thanks to its natural beauty and ongoing restoration work, American traveler Chelsea Davis from California has said.
According to Report's correspondent in Karabakh, Davis made the remarks during a visit to the region.
She said it was her first trip to Azerbaijan and that she was impressed by Kalbajar's natural landscapes and the scale of reconstruction efforts.
"There are beautiful mountain views here. I also saw how the region is developing and how construction and restoration work is being carried out so that people can live happily and peacefully. I think this will be a wonderful place for tourism," she said.
Davis also shared her impressions of the Khudavang Monastery.
"As a Christian, I was looking forward to visiting holy sites. I did not know there was a monastery here. It is a beautiful place to pray, and I am glad that it is open to everyone. I would definitely recommend visiting it," the traveler emphasized.
Meanwhile, an international group of travelers led by Charles Veley, founder of the Most Traveled People club, is on the second day of its visit to Karabakh and East Zangazur.
The delegation includes around 40 travelers from 13 countries, including the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
This is the 17th group visit to Karabakh and East Zangazur by leading international travel clubs between 2021 and 2026.
