The 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) will help countries share experiences and solve urban problems, Yolanda Gomez, Partnership Coordinator of Water and Wastewater Service Providers for Asia, said, according to Report.
Gomez expressed her satisfaction with the hospitality in Azerbaijan and emphasized the importance of the forum: "I think that in general, people in Baku are very friendly, they do their best to help us and provide the assistance we need. WUF13 is a very good platform where many experiences can be exchanged, where people can truly learn from others."
She noted that the experiences gained at this platform will be successfully applied in the future: "This forum will truly help countries share experiences and solve urban problems. I hope that all the lessons, all the experiences presented here will be heard and applied by others. The Assembly of the Global Water Operators' Partnership Alliance (GWOPA) is very important. Because of the important role of various stakeholders, various service providers are being recognized for the first time as an integral part of the whole. It is about the topic of 'Housing the world: Safe and resilient cities and communities.' They have been there for a long time, but for the first time, they are being accepted as truly important players in this matter."
