China and Azerbaijan have the potential to expand cooperation in education, urbanism, and urban design, Xin Li, director of the Tongji Urban Planning and Design Institute (TJUPDI) in Shanghai, told Report on the sidelines of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
He noted that the forum plays an important role in the global development of urbanism, as it includes discussions, exhibitions, and the exchange of experiences between countries.
"At WUF13, we can see the state of urban development worldwide. Here, we have the opportunity to bring together discussions, exhibitions, and ideas about the future of cities," he noted.
Xin Li emphasized that one of the main goals of the Chinese delegation's participation is to present China's experience in urban development to the international community.
He also noted that the Chinese side places special emphasis on developing an international network of cities for educational interaction and the exchange of experiences in urban design.
"Personal interaction is also very important, as face-to-face meetings play a significant role in education," Xin Li added.
