WUF13 serve to promote Azerbaijan's investment potential - MP Vugar Bayramov

World Urban Forum 13 will contribute to promoting Azerbaijan's investment potential, Azerbaijani MP Vugar Bayramov said, according to Report.

He noted that the World Urban Forum has started its work in Baku from today.

"What advantages will WUF13 bring to Azerbaijan? The World Urban Forum is considered the second-largest global event in terms of participation and is a high-level forum in both scale and attendance. The forum is important for presenting both Baku's infrastructure and the new models Azerbaijan is implementing in this field. Although the events are being held in the capital, the new urban development models applied in Karabakh and East Zangazur will also be presented through WUF13," Bayramov said.

He also stressed the importance of WUF13 for tourism development.

"The number of participating delegations is significant. At the same time, this will allow Azerbaijan's potential to be showcased and will be important in terms of attracting investment. In particular, it is important for presenting the potential of the non-oil sector and attracting new investments. The presentation of the non-oil sector and infrastructure also contributes to the country's economic development. In this regard, WUF13 - considered the second-largest event after United Nations Climate Change Conference - is also significant for achieving Azerbaijan"s economic development goals," he added.
