WUF13 participants to have access to 24-hour transport services

During the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which brings together global ideas and urban innovations, transport services will operate to facilitate the participant's movement.

Report informs, citing the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operating Company that detailed information on six regular bus lines connecting the airport with the city's main transport hubs and operating 24/7; buses operating on the Narimanov route, which has a stop at the WUF13 event venue; nine transport interchange centers connecting the WUF13 event venue with the main accommodation areas; and accessible taxi services for participants with limited mobility is included in the WUF13 Public Transport Guide.

Thus, the working hours of the regular bus lines allocated for airport transportation will be 24 hours, with 30-minute intervals:

The working hours of regular city bus lines will be from 06:00 to 21:00, with intervals of 5-15 minutes. Railway trains will operate from 06:30 to 23:00, with intervals of 15-40 minutes. The movement interval of suburban trains is planned to be 15-25 minutes during peak hours and 20-40 minutes on average. During off-peak hours, the interval may be up to one hour.

The metro will also operate from 06:00 to 00:00, with intervals of 2-4 minutes.

It was stated that Baku Taxi Service will operate on demand 24 hours a day.

Accredited participants will be able to use WUF13 regular buses free of charge. In other cases, public transport vehicles and taxi services operate based on standard tariffs. Information was also provided about the regular airport bus lines:

In addition, there is WUF13 digital transport map which is an interactive navigation platform that allows participants to plan their trips within Baku conveniently and effectively during the event. Through the platform, participants can obtain real-time information about the WUF13 city regular bus network, transport interchange centers, hotels, entry points to the event venue and the timetables of regular buses. At the same time, it is possible to plan routes between the airport, accommodation zones, transport interchange centers and the WUF13 event venue, identify the nearest stops and choose the most suitable travel option.
