Water network access in Azerbaijan now fully digital

The Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency (ASWRA) has ensured that all stages of connecting to the water network are now carried out entirely through digital means, Ilham Bayramov, Deputy Chairman of the Agency, said at a press conference dedicated to its nine-month performance, Report informs.

Bayramov mentioned that the move enhances transparency, efficiency, and accuracy, while also allowing the agency to meet a wide range of citizen needs: "Since the beginning of the year, 8,245 applications have been received-58% from major cities and 42% from rural and regional areas. Overall, 58% of applications came from individuals, with the remainder submitted by non-residential entities."

Bayramov added that new tools have been introduced to simplify citizen requests: "The agency's unified 955 call center operates 24/7 and has received over 631,000 inquiries since the start of the year. These are registered and processed in accordance with legal requirements. Each request is tracked through the system, with defined execution timelines that are met. The high volume of inquiries reflects both improved service accessibility and the persistence of existing challenges."

He also noted that the "e-su" electronic portal has been launched to make services more accessible: "Through the portal and its mobile app, 10,328 digital services were delivered over nine months-a significant increase compared to previous periods."
