UN-Habitat plans to strengthen trilateral partnership between governments, business and UN bodies

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) has expressed readiness to strengthen trilateral partnership at the World Urban Forum.

Report informs that Ombretta Tempra, chief of the Land, Housing and Shelter Section at UN-Habitat, made the statement during the panel session titled "Developer Coalition for the Promotion of Productive Partnerships in the Global South, and Preliminary Presentation of the CAHF Housing Finance Yearbook 2025/2026," held as part of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in the Azerbaijani capital.

"Plans are being developed to deepen trilateral cooperation between government agencies, business representatives and UN bodies. The organization recognizes that existing administrative mechanisms do not always meet the needs of the private sector and is ready to transform the format of cooperation with partners. As a next step, an expanded track dedicated to housing policy is planned for the current and future World Urban Forum," Tempra noted.
