State Agency head: 14 foreign companies involved in desalination of sea water

Fourteen private foreign companies are involved in desalination of sea water in Azerbaijan, Chairman of the State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan, Zaur Mikayilov, said during a hearing in the parliament on the topic “Сountry’s water management: problems and new challenges,” Report informs.

“After the corresponding decree of President Ilham Aliyev, technical regulations were prepared. An announcement was made 10 days ago. Foreign companies have submitted applications to participate in the process of desalination of sea water. They have already begun activities,” he noted.
