Shuliak: IDPs must be involved in decision-making

It is important to involve internally displaced persons (IDPs) in decision-making processes and ensure they are provided with quality housing, Olena Shuliak, Member of the Ukrainian Parliament, said during the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

According to Shuliak, IDPs should have the opportunity to participate in public discussions and advisory bodies.

The MP emphasized that host communities must pay special attention to providing IDPs with quality housing. She also noted that Kharkiv has become an example for many cities in supporting IDPs and quickly restoring damaged housing.
