Scorza: Brazil financing 187 sustainable urban development projects across 21 regions

Brazil is introducing new financing mechanisms for sustainable urban development, representative of Brazil"s Ministry of Cities Cristiana Scorza said during an event held as part of WUF13 in Baku.
According to Report, Cristiana Scorza stated that new financing opportunities are being provided through the federal government"s New PAC (Growth Acceleration Program), which focuses on urban sustainability.
"Through this initiative, we are able to finance transit-oriented urban development. We are also expanding cooperation with Brazil"s National Bank for Economic and Social Development. At present, we are conducting studies on 187 projects planned for implementation across 21 regions. The goal is to complete these projects by 2054," Scorza said.
