Russian president: Qatar might join North-South corridor

Qatar may become a participant in the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), Russian President Vladimir Putin said, Report informs via Russian media.
Putin made the announcement during the meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit on July 4.
"A dialogue is underway regarding the possible connection of Qatar to the INSTC," Putin said.
In particular, the Emir of Qatar noted that the volume of Qatari investments in the Russian economy and projects is approximately $13 billion: "We intend to increase this figure."
