The use of "digital twin" or "digital clone" technologies is considered important in the preservation of historical heritage.
Report informs that Rasul Chopurov, head of the digitalization sector at the Administration of the State Historical and Architectural Reserve "Icherisheher," said this at WUF13 in Baku.
According to him, this is the next stage of certification, implemented using modern technological capabilities.
"This technology also makes it possible to reduce the human factor to a certain extent," he said.
The sector head added that no digital clone will make decisions independently.
"All these tools will still be used by people. Excessive digitalization of historical sites creates certain risks: in museums and reserves, it is necessary to preserve the physical experience and live contact. No digital content can replace tactile sensations," he said.
