A rainwater and wastewater treatment facility in Shusha, Azerbaijan, is scheduled to be commissioned in 2027.
According to Report's correspondent in Shusha, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Water Melioration Service under the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency (ASWRA), Ilham Guliyev, stated this during a media tour organized to Khankandi.
He explained that construction of the facility is ongoing: "The project will ensure the collection and treatment of rainwater and wastewater in Shusha. Rainwater will be collected through 1,200 mm pipes and directed to the treatment system, while wastewater will be transferred via 600 mm pipes to a special treatment facility. After being purified in accordance with regulatory standards, the water will flow into the Gargar River and later be used for irrigation purposes. Construction and installation works are currently progressing intensively, and the facility is expected to be commissioned next year."
Guliyev added that once operational, the facility will provide a comprehensive system for collecting and treating rainwater and wastewater in Shusha.
