Peruvian ambassador to Kenya: New Urban Agenda to be adopted in New York in July

A new urban agenda will be adopted in New York in July, Peruvian Ambassador to Kenya Romy Tincopa said at the Forum of Ministers and High Authorities of Housing and Urban Development of Latin America and the Caribbean (MINURVI) at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Report informs.

She stated that MINURVI is very important because through this forum, countries in the region can contribute and coordinate their positions ahead of the upcoming negotiations.

"The new urban agenda will shape urban development for decades to come and will be a key tool in combating inequality, ensuring affordable housing, and sustainable urban development for millions of people around the world. That is why it is so important that the voice of Latin American and Caribbean countries is heard in these negotiations," Tincopa said.
