Parvana Valiyeva: We encourage use of eco-energy in residential areas

Azerbaijan promotes the use of eco-energy in residential areas, Member of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Parvana Valiyeva said at the event titled "Decarbonization of Housing and Buildings in the City-Industry-Climate Nexus" held within the framework of WUF13, Report informs.

She noted that eco-energy encompasses solar and wind energy:

"We have adopted relevant regulations in the Parliament regarding this matter. We are searching for financial markets related to efficient energy and discussing the issue. This is not just a political but a national demand. Azerbaijan is already establishing funds and presenting programs to support green energy programs for entrepreneurs. We promote the use of eco-energy in residential areas. The creation of a priority for green energy has been significant. We support green energy models. At the same time, we are rebuilding the liberated territories. Within this framework, new infrastructure has been created, and newly constructed residential areas have been equipped with solar panels."
