Participants of CICA conference tour Baku International Sea Trade Port

The second day of an international conference titled "The Role of Ports in Regional Connectivity and Strategic Cooperation" held in Baku within the framework of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) took place at the Baku International Sea Trade Port, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY).

The conference featured technical sessions, a visit by participants to the Baku International Sea Trade Port, and presentations on innovative and sustainable solutions implemented at the port.

A field tour titled "Demonstrating Innovation in Action" was organized for participants. They toured the Baku Port's General Cargo and Ro-Ro terminals, while the operation of the port's digital management and security systems was also demonstrated. Participants also had the opportunity to learn about the operations of the Port's Control Room and Unified Access Center.

An interactive session with the Baku Port management was subsequently held. During the session, participants exchanged views on the port's operations, development prospects, and role in the regional transport and logistics system.

Another session titled Green Port was held during the next part of the event. The session provided general information about the Baku Port and highlighted efforts to implement the Green Transport"l and Green Port concepts, develop sustainable logistics, and improve environmental efficiency.
