Participants from 175 countries register for WUF13 in Baku

A total of 23,350 people from 175 countries have registered to participate in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Anar Guliyev, chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, said at today's event in Baku, titled "Entrepreneurship development means a strong economy," Report informs.

He noted that 13.3% of registered participants are representatives of business entities, the highest figure in the history of the World Urban Forum.

Guliyev emphasized that urban development reforms are not limited to infrastructure projects: "This is also an important mechanism for stimulating economic growth, increasing employment, and fostering innovation. Entrepreneurs are the main driving force behind this process. I am confident that effective public-private cooperation will enable Azerbaijani cities to become the most modern, sustainable, and competitive residential centers in the region."

The World Urban Forum (WUF13) will be held in Baku from May 17 to 22.
