Middle Corridor only viable route for transporting critical minerals to West

The Middle Corridor can ensure the delivery of processed critical minerals from Central Asia to Western markets without transit through Russia and Iran, according to Yasar Sari, Director of the Heydar Aliyev Center for Applied Eurasian Studies at Ibn Haldun University in Türkiye, Report informs.

Speaking at the 2nd International Conference of Leading National Analytical Centers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Baku, Sari emphasized that the Middle Corridor connects the Turkic world countries and serves as a strategic pillar for diversifying trade routes, strengthening independence, and reducing external dependence.

"For the European Union, it is a reliable alternative in terms of diversifying supply chains. Beyond being an alternative to northern and southern routes, the corridor plays the role of an important hub in China's expanding geo‑economic integration," he said.
