Necessary steps are being taken for the Zangazur corridor, which will connect Azerbaijan with Turkiye through Nakhchivan. Some 57% of the Horadiz-Jabrayil-Zangilan-Agband highway of the Zangazur corridor passing through the territory of Azerbaijan, which was founded by the leaders of the two countries on October 26, 2021, has been completed, Report informs referring to the Turkish newspaper Aksam.

More than half of the work on the construction of the Horadiz-Jabrayil-Zangilan-Agband section of the Zangazur corridor passing through the territory of Azerbaijan, which will connect the two countries by road, has been completed.

The road with a length of 123.6 km in the Azerbaijani part of the corridor starts from the village of Ahmadbayli in the Fuzuli district.

“The Horadiz-Jabrayil-Zangilan-Agband highway is being built with first-class quality in accordance with international standards.

The 77.5 km section of the highway is designed with six traffic lanes, and the remaining part is equipped with four traffic lanes.

While 37% of the three road tunnels under construction on the road have already been completed, 19 of the 23 planned bridges are under construction.

The construction work carried out by Turkish companies under the control of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads is planned to be completed in 2024,” the publication noted.
