Climate regulations should be turned into practical tools.
Report informs that Laura Porras, an employee of the Federated College of Engineers and Architects of Costa Rica (CFIA), said this at an event held as part of WUF13 in Baku.
According to her, these regulatory frameworks strengthen technical capacity only if they do not remain on paper.
"Many countries already have enough regulatory documents. The main issue is turning them into practical tools in the decision-making process. That is why in Costa Rica we have envisaged the development of a tool that will serve as guidance in this process and facilitate the implementation stage, in order to apply these approaches on the ground," she said.
