The Organization of Turkic States, built on the principles of brotherhood, friendship and mutual respect, serves as a platform for open dialogue, joint initiatives and multilateral cooperation.
Report informs that Rakhymzhan Issakulov, Kazakhstan's deputy minister of industry and construction, said this at the High-Level Urban Dialogue of the Organization of Turkic States held as part of WUF13.
He noted that this year's forum theme, "Shaping Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities," is particularly relevant for member countries of the Organization of Turkic States:
"Today, our countries face common challenges related to urbanization, rapid growth of the urban population, the need to modernize infrastructure, housing affordability, as well as increasing the resilience of cities to climate and environmental risks. In this regard, developing joint approaches to sustainable urban planning, applying modern technologies, preserving historical and cultural heritage, and creating a comfortable urban environment for citizens are of particular importance."
