Jamil Manizada: Arrival of first A321neo marks key step in AZAL's long-term strategy

The delivery of the first Airbus A321neo aircraft to Azerbaijan Airlines represents a major milestone in the airline's long-term development strategy, AZAL's Commercial Director Jamil Manizada said during the aircraft handover ceremony, according to Report's correspondent from Hamburg.

"This is the first Airbus A321 in our airline's fleet. Receiving this aircraft is not merely an expansion of our fleet. It is a significant step in implementing our long-term strategy - a strategy focused on modernization, efficiency, passenger comfort, and sustainable growth," Manizada said.

According to him, the A321neo family perfectly aligns with AZAL's vision.

"This aircraft will allow us to fly farther, more efficiently, and with greater comfort. I would like to express our sincere gratitude to the entire Airbus team and to our partners at AerCap and others. Today, we are opening a new chapter in our history. We will continue to add more aircraft of this type to our fleet, making the airline stronger and more competitive," he noted.

For his part, Bruno Castola, General Manager of Airbus Programs, said that Airbus is interested in expanding its cooperation with AZAL.

"We are very pleased with our cooperation and want to take our partnership to a new level," he said.

Executives from Airbus and AerCap who spoke at the ceremony noted that the addition of the new aircraft will enable AZAL to expand its route network and further enhance the quality of services provided to passengers.
