Jakhongir Rajabov: Azerbaijani and Uzbek startups are actively developing joint initiatives

Azerbaijani and Uzbek startups, as well as private-sector investors from the two countries, have been actively developing joint initiatives in recent years, Jakhongir Radjabov, Executive Director of IT Park Uzbekistan, told Report.

"There is currently very active cooperation and development of joint initiatives with startups from Azerbaijan, with private capital from Azerbaijan working together with Uzbek startups and Uzbek private capital," he said.

According to him, this demonstrates the close business ties between entrepreneurs and the startup ecosystems of the two countries.

Radjabov also noted the development of cooperation between the government bodies of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, particularly in the fields of telecommunications and transport.

"This cooperation is long-term in nature and has long-term development plans," he stressed.

He also noted the interest of Uzbek startups in participating in international events in Baku, including Baku ID, where companies can showcase their solutions and find new partners.

According to him, Azerbaijani startups, in turn, actively participate in events and startup weeks held in Uzbekistan, where they present new solutions and areas for developing cooperation between the two countries.
