Jahangirov: Reconstruction in Azerbaijan's liberated lands follows plan

The reconstruction process in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan is being implemented fully in line with pre-prepared plans, Ramil Jahangirov, Head of the Project Management Department for Liberated Territories at the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, said during a session held within the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

Jahangirov emphasized the necessity of carrying out all infrastructure and residential construction in accordance with urban planning norms and standards.

"However, the main priority of each project is safety. Therefore, the system is designed so that the area is first declared safe, and only then construction and other works begin. This process is quite complex. As highlighted in various panels and sessions throughout the week, coordination is one of the most important factors, especially in urban planning and mine clearance activities. To move to the next stage, it is essential to ensure that the area is fully cleared of mines. Before that, continuous consultations are held to determine which areas are more contaminated and which are less," he said.
