The master plans of liberated cities and districts of Azerbaijan are being implemented in stages, Ramil Jahangirov, Head of the Project Management Department for Liberated Territories at the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, said during a session held within the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.
Jahangirov noted that the currently presented residential areas and constructed houses represent the first phases of these projects: "To ensure this phased approach, close cooperation is carried out with mine clearance institutions: first, the area is cleared in line with the initial phase, and then construction begins. Moreover, it is not only about clearing residential areas. These territories must also be connected with infrastructure lines. Routes for electricity, water, gas, communication, and internet must be completely free of mine threats. This requires ANAMA to coordinate not only with urban planning institutions but also with utility service providers. As a result, although the process is more complex, it is carried out in a more systematic and organized manner."
