Georgian FM: Cooperation with Azerbaijan on Middle Corridor has special strategic importance

Cooperation with Azerbaijan on the Middle Corridor has special strategic importance, Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said.

Report's Georgian bureau informs, citing local media, that according to the minister, the important agreements signed today serve to further deepen strategic cooperation between the two countries.

Bochorishvili said Azerbaijan is an important strategic partner for Georgia, especially when discussing the Middle Corridor. She noted that truly important agreements had been signed in this context today.

She also said fully realizing Georgia's transit potential was one of the priority issues.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze attended the signing of an agreement between the governments of the two countries on the supply of natural gas to Georgia.
