FEMSA: Cities should be designed with children in mind

Urban planning should take into account the interests and needs of children, Cindy González, head of preschool education at FEMSA, a leading Mexican holding company and a leading retailer in Latin America, said at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

She emphasized that the development of a child's personality is shaped not only by their interactions with parents and caregivers, but also by the environment in which they grow and develop.

"Cities are too often designed from the perspective of adults, while the needs of the youngest residents are neglected. If we truly strive to create a more inclusive, humane, and sustainable society, we must begin to view our cities through the lens of children," González stated.
