Environmental and technological challenges are becoming among the key factors determining Azerbaijan's future development.
Report informs that Fariz Ismailzada, Vice Rector of ADA University and member of the Milli Majlis, said this at WUF13 in Baku.
According to him, drinking water security occupies a special place among these challenges.
"Azerbaijan depends on external sources of water supply, as a significant part of its water resources comes from neighboring countries. Therefore, environmental factors directly affect both public health and the country's economic development and long-term sustainability," Ismailzada said.
