Azerbaijan is actively promoting climate solutions aimed at supporting post-conflict areas, Elshad Iskandarov, Ambassador-at-Large of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at the panel session "Peace-Positive Climate Action through Urban Solutions in Fragile and Conflict-Affected Settings" at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.
"Post-conflict states exposed to climate risks receive 100 times less financial resources than required to address existing problems. The Baku Hub, established following COP29, aims to bridge this gap and has already secured the signing of memoranda of understanding with Chad, Gambia, and Guinea-Bissau," the diplomat emphasized.
