Deputy Minister: SPECA Cities Forum is more than diplomatic platform

Azerbaijan has allocated $3.5 million to the SPECA Fund, Samad Bashirli, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economy, said during an event held within the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.
Bashirli emphasized that the official launch of the SPECA Multilateral Partnership Trust Fund was a major practical step: "The participation and contributions of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan to the fund are of great importance for strengthening regional cooperation. The fund will finance infrastructure and technological projects within intercity cooperation. The SPECA Cities Forum is not only a diplomatic dialogue platform but also a functioning mechanism for investment and the implementation of real regional projects."
