Chinese port executive highlights Baku port's development potential

The Baku International Sea Trade Port, as the only transport hub and maritime gateway on the western coast of the Caspian Sea providing access to Europe, has significant potential for further development, said Jiang Wei, Vice President for External Relations at China's Lianyungang Port, in response to a question from journalists in Baku on the sidelines of the international conference "The Role of Ports in Regional Connectivity and Strategic Cooperation," Report informs.

"We attach particular importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and the Baku port. This morning, I met with Azerbaijan Railways Chairman Rovshan Rustamov, and we discussed current cooperation issues in detail. First and foremost, we intend to continue expanding our transport hub network westward to ensure effective integration with the infrastructure of Azerbaijan Railways and the Baku port," Jiang Wei said.
