Chairman: No specialized team for museum technologies formed in Azerbaijan

A specialized team for museum technologies has not yet been formed in Azerbaijan, Rufat Mahmud, Chairman of the Board of the State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration of Icherisheher, stated during the held within the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

Mahmud highlighted that the constant renewal of digital technologies requires proper expertise for effective use: "This field demands highly specialized knowledge, and unfortunately, at least in Baku, such a group has not yet been established. In the future, the creation of a professional team dedicated to managing technologies effectively may be considered."

The chairman further stated that the malfunctioning of digital technologies in museums is essentially a management issue: "In many cases, screens and interactive systems in museums are not operational. We often see broken buttons or inactive displays. This is a management problem that requires serious attention. Proper knowledge and a professional team are essential for managing digital technologies."
