Azizov: Important institutional base in creative industries formed in Azerbaijan

In recent years, Azerbaijan has developed an important institutional framework in the field of cultural and creative industries, Rashad Azizov, Director General of the Azerbaijan Film Agency, said at the discussion "UNESCO Creative Cities Network and Sustainable Urban Development" within WUF13 in Baku.

Report quotes him as saying several public and private creative spaces and centers currently operate in Azerbaijan.

"In the near future, new initiatives are planned, including a ‘Creative Loft" for digital artists and electronic musicians, as well as a ‘Creative Cinema Center" for young filmmakers at the Azerbaijanfilm studio. These projects are important for providing more systematic support to creative communities and enriching existing infrastructure with new content," Azizov said.
